1. Jangan sekali-kali menggunakan selang ini untuk pelarut organik nonpolar (seperti benzena, toluena dan heksana), hidrokarbon terhalogenasi (seperti metilen klorida atau trikloroetana), terkonsentrasi asam kuat, basa kuat, minyak mineral atau uap. Juga, jangan gunakan untuk minyak hewan atau minyak sayur pada suhu melebihi 70 Deg.C. Untuk pembersihan uap, lakukan jangan terlalu lama dengan tekanan uap jenuh kurang dari 0,2 MPa pada 130 Deg.C.

2. Jangan gunakan air dengan suhu tinggi melebihi 100 Deg.C. Karena akan mengurangi kekuatan material reinforcement (benang), serta dapat merusak selang dan kerugian sekunder seperti cedera dan terbakar.
